Madonna’s “Celebration” tour has been rescheduled after the singer had to postpone the start due to a serious bacterial infection. Live Nation, the event promoter, has announced the new tour dates and assured fans that Madonna has now fully recovered and is ready to hit the road.
The North American leg of the tour will kick off on December 13 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. However, due to scheduling conflicts, some shows have been canceled, disappointing fans in Tulsa, Nashville, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Live Nation has assured ticket holders that refunds will be issued at the original point of purchase.
For those with tickets to the previously scheduled shows, Live Nation has confirmed that they will be honored on the new dates, except for the Los Angeles and one New York date due to venue changes. While Live Nation has stated that rescheduling all shows was a priority, a few had to be canceled due to scheduling conflicts.
The originally scheduled European dates will begin on October 14 in London, concluding with two additional London shows on December 5 and 6. Madonna’s health scare occurred on June 24 when she was rushed to the hospital with a serious bacterial infection, requiring a stay in an intensive care unit. The pop icon took to social media to express her gratitude for the support of her fans, team, and family during her recovery.
Looking ahead, the tour is set to continue in North America in early 2024, with shows in major cities like Boston, Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago. The tour will also include dates in various cities across the United States, including Washington, Detroit, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and more.
Madonna will be performing at prestigious arenas and venues such as Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center, Staples Center (now known as Kia Forum), and American Airlines Center. Finally, the tour will conclude with shows in Mexico City from April 20-24, 2024.
The news of Madonna’s rescheduled tour dates comes as a delight to her devoted fanbase, who have eagerly been waiting for the pop icon to take the stage once again. With her recovery complete, Madonna is ready to showcase her talent and provide unforgettable performances in the coming months.
