Pocketpair, the small game developer behind the hit game Palworld, has announced that they will not be expanding their studio to focus on creating big budget triple-A games. Founder Takuro Mizobe confirmed this decision, stating that they will continue to create multiple small games instead.
Despite the success of Palworld, Pocketpair has no plans to significantly increase their headcount. However, they are open to partnership or acquisition offers. The company is currently in talks to bring Palworld to other platforms, with a potential release on PlayStation in the future.
The upcoming update for Palworld will feature the game’s first raid boss, Bellanoir, described as a “powerful evil” Pal embracing the emo renaissance. Along with this new boss, Pocketpair has promised more fixes and anti-cheat measures to address the issue of cheating in the game.
Additionally, the studio has opened applications for a Palworld closed testing program. However, applicants are warned not to expect early access to new content or free play opportunities. Players can look forward to an enhanced gaming experience with the latest updates and new features in Palworld.
