Huawei, the Chinese tech giant that has been at the center of controversy with the US government, has just released its latest flagship phone – the Huawei Pura 70. Despite facing bans and restrictions from the US government and tech ecosystem, Huawei continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology with its new release.
The standout feature of the Huawei Pura 70 is its pop-out main camera lens, which is reminiscent of traditional point-and-shoot cameras. The retractable camera lens boasts a 50MP, 1-inch sensor with an adjustable aperture, allowing users to capture stunning photos with ease. In addition, the phone also includes a 40MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens, ensuring versatility in photography.
Although the phone’s System on a Chip (SoC) is not explicitly mentioned in the spec sheet, Geekbench uploads suggest that it may be powered by a Kirin 9010 chip. However, due to US sanctions limiting Huawei’s chip production capabilities, the company has had to rely on older technology for its latest release.
Other notable features of the Huawei Pura 70 include 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, a 6.8-inch, 120 Hz OLED display, and a substantial 5200 mAh battery. The phone is currently only available in China, with the Ultra model priced at 9,999 Yuan (approximately $1,380).
Despite facing challenges in the global market, Huawei remains a formidable player in the smartphone industry, consistently delivering innovative and cutting-edge technology to consumers. The release of the Huawei Pura 70 further solidifies Huawei’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology and catering to the needs of tech-savvy consumers.
