At a recent event in Tokyo, Carl Pei’s Nothing revealed two new wireless earbuds that are sure to make a splash in the market. The Ear, the more premium model starting at $149 and ยฃ129, is a refined version of the older model Ear (2). Retaining the brand’s signature transparent design, the Ear is equipped with a new custom 11 mm dynamic driver for clearer sound. The Ear also boasts a new smart active noise cancellation (ANC) algorithm that can adjust noise cancellation levels based on sound leakage and environment, offering an impressive noise cancellation rating of 45 dB, nearly twice that of the Ear (2).
In addition to its advanced noise cancellation capabilities, the Ear offers up to 40-and-a-half hours of battery life with the charging case and eight-and-a-half hours of non-stop playback. It also features new mic technology, support for high-resolution streaming, and quick device switching. On the other hand, the Ear (a) is the more affordable and fun model with prices starting at $99 and ยฃ99. Available in vibrant color options, including vivid egg yolk-yellow, the Ear (a) also features ANC technology and the brand’s new smart ANC algorithm, offering up to 42-and-a-half hours of music playback after a full charge.
Both the Ear and Ear (a) are currently available for pre-order on Nothing’s website and are set to be available for general purchase on April 22. With their sleek design, advanced features, and competitive pricing, these new wireless earbuds from Nothing are set to revolutionize the audio industry.
